Estimation of soil erosion dynamics using remote sensing and swat in Kopaonik National Park, Serbia

چکیده

Soil erosion is a global environmental and economic problem that significantly related to land-use changes. Over the last decades, several mountain areas in Serbia were exposed strong human pressure caused by winter tourism development. The largest ski center situated on Kopaonik Mountain within boundaries of National Park, where conflict between conservation goals rapidly growing. In this study, we calculated sedimentation surface runoff three sub-basins area resort for two years (1984 2018) using Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) analyzed changes occurred during observed period. results show an increase sediment yield 1 3 decrease sub-basin 2. analysis land cover change shows expansion evergreen forests, appearance barren soil urban areas, reduction mixed forests pastures, deciduous forests. These findings indicate studied, dominant processes are development natural revegetation abandoned agricultural land. Application remote sensing techniques SWAT contributes identifying monitoring degradation problems improving management practices.

Estimation of soil moisture using optical, thermal and radar Remote Sensing )Case Study: South of Tehran(

Traditional methods of field measurement of soil moisture in addition to the difficulty, the need for manpower and money and fail to take place on a large scale to be able to show moisture. Therefore, remote sensing has become a widespread use .Landsat 8 satellite data and Sentinel-1 radar satellite from Tehran were provided. 72 soil samples were taken at the same time by satellite passing from...

Soil Moisture Estimation in Rangelands Using Remote Sensing (Case Study: Malayer, West of Iran)

Soil moisture is generally regarded as the limiting factors in rangeland production. Although many studies have been conducted to estimate soil moisture in semiarid areas, there is little information on mountainous rangelands in west of Iran. The present study aims to investigate the soil moisture estimation in rangelands as compared to the other land uses over a mountainous area in central Zag...

Estimation of Soil Erosion using Remote Sensing and GIS and Prioritization of Catchments

Soil erosion is one of the most critical environmental hazards of recent times. A large area suffers from soil erosion, which in turn, reduces productivity. Methods such as the Universal Soil Loss Equation or Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation are widely used for the estimation of soil erosion from catchment areas. The paper deals with the estimation of soil erosion using Universal Soil Loss ...

Soil Moisture Estimation Using Remote Sensing

Knowledge of soil moisture content in the root zone is important throughout a wide range of environmental applications, yet adequate monitoring or modelling of this parameter, particularly at larger spatial scales, is difficult due to its high spatial and temporal variability. To overcome the land surface model limits on soil moisture estimation accuracy, point measurement spatial coverage limi...
